One of my favorite hobbies is target shooting. I used to go to formal shooting ranges but I found a better place to do it. A friend of mine told me that he has been going to Jawbone Canyon for practice. I joined him and found it an excellent place in the wilderness. The advantage is that there are no restrictions except that one needs to follow firearm safety rules. One disadvantage is that it is about 150 miles from home and it takes about 2 and a half hours to get there so you need to leave early. However you can camp there for as long as two weeks at a time.
