Vacation in Italy
There is nothing better to complete our last planned visit to Europe than a week's vacation in Italy. We returned there after forty-one years and passed the area near Koper, Slovenia where we crossed the border forty-two years ago. We traveled by bus; left early morning at 6:30 from Budapest and after several stops we arrived in Bibione, Italy by about 6:30 pm. We had a comfortable apartment in the center of Bibione but it lacked air conditioning surprisingly. The weather was warm all week, perfect for the beach. Besides going to the beach we went to Venice by train and spent a day there. That was the highlight of the whole trip, needless to say. We also visited two small towns, Caorle, a fishing village and Portogruaro, a rustic old town with plenty of charms.
