Hajdúszoboszló
This town provides one of the most unique health spas, swimming and recreation facilities in Central Europe. We spent three days there, just enough to get acqainted with the area and have some fun. The temperatures were quite high, 38-40 degrees Celsius and we stayed in the shades. Even so, I got a little sunburn playing outdoor chess which is in the open area without cover. The site-seeing tour with a fake train was another hazard, but I survived it without loosing my breakfast. The driver sped throug the town at breakneck speed in fifteen minutes, then waited another forty-five before starting the next tour... I won't forget it...
We stayed at "Bungalló Hotel", a nice and friendly motel with fairly comfortable rooms without air conditioning. A fan helped to keep the air moving. The surrounding pine trees kept the bungalos in the shade. The breakfast was self served with plenty of eggs, meet and vegetables, dinners were served between seven and nine in the evening, both were included in the price. Their fish soup was the worst I ever had and returned it after tasting it. It was bitter and smelly. It didn't seem to bother the management...
In spite of a few distractions the three days were fun and a good experience.
